Women Producers
Strong women, strong stories.
At the heart of Mah Roc lies not just design, but women's solidarity and transformation. For us, production isn't just about making a bag; it's about empowering a woman to regain confidence in herself, her labor, and her creativity.
Transformation Beginning in Sri Lanka
This journey began with a design training program that we voluntarily conducted at a center for protected women in Sri Lanka, and over time, it evolved into a genuine production collaboration.
Today, together with 11 women, we develop and produce our summer collections here.
Each woman, through her own labor, creates not just a product, but a story of re-engagement with life.
Every stitch you see in Mah Roc's summer collections carries the trace of these stories.
The Foundation of Our Collaboration: Trust, Education, and Equality
-
Throughout the production process, every woman has the right to fair wages, safe conditions, and creative participation.
-
Training processes are conducted one-on-one; we jointly develop design language, color combinations, and production quality.
-
One of our most valuable principles is that women are not just producers, but also our idea partners.
Women's Solidarity Stretching from Istanbul to Sri Lanka
There is a constant exchange of knowledge between our atelier experience in Balat, Istanbul, and the women in Sri Lanka.
Cultural boundaries are not an obstacle at Mah Roc; they are a source of inspiration.
Why Is This So Important?
Because, in our opinion, the value of a product is measured not only by how it looks, but also by whose hands and under what conditions it was produced.
The Perfect Pairing: Chef’s Table x Mah Roc
Created for a special evening of beer and food pairing, this limited-edition bag was designed as a companion to the table.
Inspired by Fred Erik’s beers – each with its own color and character – every piece reflects a different flavor profile through carefully selected fabrics and embroidery details.
A keepsake to take the experience with you beyond the table.
