You are probably aware that we are against fast fashion or you may have heard the reasons why.
In a world drowning under the impact of fast fashion, we have been doing our part since 2016 and will continue to do so.
We envision a future where traditional craftsmanship is not just a relic of the past, but one of the cornerstones of fashion.
We want to break the cycle of waste and see a fashion industry defined as fair; a world where every individual in the supply chain is valued.
Our founder Roksan, a true travel enthusiast, set out in 2016 to assess the waste left behind by the fashion industry.
In Turkey, we produce accessories using yarns extracted from old sweaters, employing traditional weaving techniques. And did you know? This work allowed us to become Turkey's first "Remake Our World" ambassador. We are here to advocate for the rights of textile workers worldwide and to properly connect artisans with buyers, to give a voice to their stories.
This mission gained further momentum during a trip to Sri Lanka in 2019. We discovered forgotten hand-woven fabrics and learned from the elderly women who were masters of this craft for three months. This journey inspired some of our most important collections.
Since that day, we continue to meet creative women, each teaching us weaving techniques and sharing their stories through their work. Our collections gain new life with waste fabrics created in both Sri Lanka and Istanbul, enriched with weaves.
With every bag we produce, we contribute to a more sustainable world, made with respect and love for nature and the people who help us bring our vision to life.
Every day, we strive to ensure that much of what we produce comes from materials given a second chance.
Our goal is to change fashion one piece at a time, making it better for our planet and everyone on it.
As Greta Thunberg said, "We all have a choice. We can create transformational action that safeguards the living conditions of future generations, or we can continue with business as usual and fail."
